alkisah, pada awal pagi di sebuah forum internet terdapat seorang forumer memuatnaik sebuah gambar petikan status fb seorang hamba Allah yang menulis keinginan beliau untuk membunuh diri lantaran cintanya ditolak bekas kekasih hati.

maka, dalam sekelip mata maka berbondong-bondonglah komentar dilontarkan oleh forumer lain mengutuk dan mengeji tindakan pemilik status fb tersebut. tak kurang juga yang mentertawakan pengunaan tatabahasa dan susunan ayat yang digunakan oleh pemilik status fb tersebut. terlalu 'urban' untuk bahasa melayu dan bahasa Inggeris standard.

Namun, bukan itu yang menarik perhatian saya. apa yang menarik perhatian saya ialah komentar salah seorang forumer yang sangat menyentuh hati. dan ya, benar sekali kata-katanya jika kita benar-benar menghayatinya.

di bawah ialah petikan dari komentar yang saya maksudkan. sangat berinspirasi untuk muhasabah diri.

for MAJORITY of people out there, they will focus on anything wrong and weakness this person has shown in the context of entertainment, hence condemnation, taunting, slandering, gossiping sparks among netizens which actually it is not good, just because he is not from our relatives or even sibling, does not make us better in making fun of him.

Looking at the screenshot alone tells how bad our youngster nowadays in term of practicing the teaching of Islam, he may believe in Allah, but he put the love feeling towards his girl far beyond the Almighty, the owner of our sense of feelings, when you fall in love and start having a haraam relationship (close and intimate relationship before marriage), that is when all paths to the wickedness shall opens wide, kids leaving home to follow their love, kids being rude to parents just because to defend their immature relationship, kids injure themselves when in depression, kids committing suicide due to the failure in cooping with harsh reality, these are all implications that happen when we put our trust and love toward dunya far greater than our beliefs in Allah.

You might dont understand at all about what im trying to deliver here, but as a muslim, it is a duty for one to correct after another's wrongdoings, and when something like this happen, it means there are so many muslims out there who have failed in playing role in correcting others while there is still time.

Its not about "im better than you", its about "i want to show you something better". Islam is about caring for each other. Its about me correcting you, you correcting me, if I saw one of your relative committing sin, Ill try to guide him/her to the betterment, and if you see my relative doing the same, you have concern to correct them for their betterment. This is how Islam should be like, today we live for our own, we live solely for dunya, we live for our stomachs, yet we are confused of why there are so many social problems circulating around us with no ending."
